Classic Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 8 Tablespoons (1 stick) cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 to 4 Tablespoons ice water

For the filling:

  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 4 Tablespoons melted butter, cooled to room temperature
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons bourbon
